Willow Creek invites visitors to come and experience a rustic, country retreat just a short drive from the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro. Surrounded by trees, native grasses, and flowers, Willow Creek will take your breath away from the moment you step onto the property. Some of Iowa's prettiest rolling hills provide the background for helping create memories that will last forever.

What to expect when visiting in the winter.

More people get engaged between Christmas and Valentines day than any other time of the year. Because of this fact, winter time happens to be the busiest time of the year for us to show our property to those looking for a place to host their upcoming event. If you have never toured our property in the winter time, we would like for you to know what to expect when visiting us.  We are located in the country and that means we get the full force of what mother nature has to dish out. The roads leading to our place may be snow covered, muddy or even icy when other paved roads are completely clear. With the frost in the roads coming and going throughout the season you may never know for sure what to expect with the fluctuating temperatures. Please know that the road conditions that you will find to our property in the winter time are NOT the same road conditions that you will find during our open season. We simply ask that you plan a couple of extra minutes to ensure that you navigate to our property safely. Please dress warm when touring our property. Our property is much bigger than most realize and if you want to spend some time seeing it all you will want to dress warm. We only turn heat on in a couple of the buildings during this time of year as well. The other buildings have been winterized and put to bed for a long hibernation, so again, please dress warm as it may be a little chilly in some of the buildings. We do our very best to remove all snow and ice from all of the walkways in the winter time but please know in some cases not all walkways may be cleared of snow depending on the severity of the last snow fall in coordination with your showing. Again, it's a very big property so please know that it takes a long time to clear. As you can imagine, seeing the property in the winter time versus the open season is no comparison. The property completely transforms into another world during our wedding season so sometimes it can be difficult for people to envision what the property looks like when we're open. We ask that you please watch some of our videos or view some photos from our pages to get a better idea of what the property has to offer. The property is quite devoid of flowers, grass and leaves in the winter time so this will give you a much better idea of what to expect on the day of your event. Last but not least, if you have read the "about us" portion of our page you will see that we are always working to improve upon our property by adding new features. We utilize the winter months to work on these projects while we are closed to hosting events. Please don't be alarmed if you happen to see scaffolding or ladders or powers tools. It's just us trying to make the property even better than the year before as we don't believe in resting on our laurels. Well there you go, I did my best to scare you off. Haha. After reading this though and you find that you are still interested in viewing our property then you are exactly the type of people with an adventurous spirit that we're looking for. To schedule a showing, please contact us at 712-483-2435 (text or call) or email us at info@willowcreekglasschapel.com Don't forget...."Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations."

The Chapel

Stacks Image 213
You will be in awe of the 40 foot high ceilings and beautiful 360 degree view through glass in the chapel, allowing you to take advantage of whatever scenery nature decides to provide at the time.

There's a separate building designated for the bridal party which has a full-length mirror and private bathroom, located a short walk from the chapel.

The chapel is available for wedding ceremonies, memorials, or naming services. We are a non-denominational chapel that can accommodate any ceremony, religious or not.

The chapel is available on it's own Sunday through Thursday and on Friday and Saturdays with the rental of the Barn.

The chapel seats up to 168 guests in the pews. Additional seating may be brought into fit up to 220 guests.

If you are looking for a unique place to take your vows, give us a call and set up an appointment.  You'll quickly see why we can make your wedding dreams come true.

The Barn

Our banquet hall "Barn" is available for wedding receptions, private parties, corporate events, business functions, conferences, church retreats, family reunions, or any time a unique setting is desired for your event.

The barn can accommodate up to 300 guests and features high, vaulted ceilings and follows the same natural, rustic theme that so many have already fallen in  love with at the chapel.  The rustic charm will captivate you at first look, inviting you to transform the interior to your desires.

The barn has a full bar, public restrooms, and plenty of room for a dance floor.  We are passionate about salvaging materials that would otherwise be trash in a dump and turn these items into beautiful parts of our building.

If you are looking for a memorable location, then look no further than the barn at Willow Creek.

The Destination

Aside from the slight possibility of something maiming you out in the wilds of the country or getting your car a little dusty on a couple miles of gravel roads getting to Willow Creek, Shane & Maritza hope that everyone that spends their day with them has a remarkable time and they hope to see all of you that visit come back again and again for many years to come.
